It has been three weeks since Emily's and Erik's wedding at Moody Mountain Farm and I am still thinking of all that you did to help make the weekend perfect for them and us. It was a challenge to plan a wedding in a location where neither the couple or their parents live; having your experience was critical not only for the successful result but in keeping us sane!
What I especially appreciated about working with you was your ability to strike just the right balance between following the lead of the bride and groom and supporting their ideas, and guiding us from your professional experience. You were always positive, calm and enthusiastic and communicated with us promptly. The week of the wedding we so appreciated how you were right there with us, from delivering food, steaming linens, working with vendors, and spending countless hours making sure all was beautifully set up and then executed. Taking all our centerpieces to the boathouse after midnight so we would have them for brunch the day after the wedding is just one example of the lengths you were willing to go to make sure our weekend was all we could have hoped for!
Clearly you love what you do, Amy! We are so grateful to you for all the care and attention you gave us. You are a gem!

I can't thank you enough for all you did to make Robin and Dan's wedding on Lake Wentworth such a memorable day. Your eye for decorating and ability to pick the perfect details made the event unique and beautiful. Robin's Aunt Cathy mentioned that she loved the vintage china and how clever it was to use the teacups and sauces for the flowers. My sister who had never been to Broekwood commented "Now I know what you've been saying, it's amazing and it is all worth it." And it was. Everyone had a wonderful time.
It was beautiful but it was your planning that made the day go like clockwork. From the ceremony to the first dance to the fireworks and s'mores you made sure it all went smoothly and I could enjoy the event knowing it was all under control. Two daughters and two different wedding venues: NH lakeside in the summer and a Boston hotel in the winter. Both were spectacularly successful events! Marilyn and I want you to know that a big part of the success was your outstanding performance as our wedding planner. We expected someone who could help with the overall planning and timeline for the event, someone who would be organized, someone who would pay attention to the details, someone who would recommend and deal effectively with various vendors and someone who would coordinate activities over the wedding weekend. We got all that; you were terrific in providing all those expected and necessary services. But over and above that, what we most appreciated and what helped make our weddings so special was that you were personally concerned with making the weddings work for our daughters Liz and Katie. We have all heard stories and seen movies about “wedding planners.” You are the antithesis of the stereotype. You were able to develop a personal relationship with both Liz and Katie as well as Marilyn and myself so that your suggestions and recommendations always seemed right. As I think I said at one of our weddings, you were pushy in a wonderfully nice way which enabled everything to get done so the weddings were both successful and we all enjoyed the process.
In our view, weddings are ultimately about two things: a happy couple and a wonderful party. Both our weddings exceeded Liz and Katie’s wildest expectations and met Marilyn’s lofty standards. Guests are still raving. You deserve a great deal of the credit for that success and in the process you have become a good friend.

I would like to officially thank you for literally making our wedding day the best day of my life even; if the first hurricane in 70 years hit New England on September 27, 2008. Anyone who says rain on your wedding day is good luck never got to unpack the soaking wet moldy lanterns or not have a lit path to the entrance of their reception or not even see the view from the tent! But those little details are nothing compared to the numerous wonderful things that did fall into place that day. Thanks to you, everyone had a dinner seat, the boys had boutonnieres and the flow of the wedding stayed in line to the minute. You had it all that day. You took charge, you were organized, disciplined, reliable, dependable, honest and as my dad likes to say, stern and yet kind. You’re personality is perfect for your position and there is no one else I’d rather have with me that day behind the scenes taking care of everything. Thank you for being my go to girl that day. My sister still says; “Where is Amy Piper?” when things aren’t staying on track.
You will go down in the history of my family as the one person who held it all together, the glue if you will, so that everyone could enjoy themselves. I know you thought I was kidding when I asked you to come visit us in Colorado, but trust me, you cannot beat the Rocky Mountains and we have a spare bedroom! We don’t even need to do it on a holiday, although, you are pretty much an angel in my eyes and I would gladly spend Christmas with you.
Another thing I would like to thank you for was for the specialty lighting company and the gobo that went on the dance floor. I literally could not have done it without you. I’m so happy we decided to go the extra mile and spend a little bit of money and get the lanterns lit through the same electrical switch to create mood lighting. This was again, another one of your great ideas.
I can’t wait to see the pictures you took and I’d like to thank you again for everything. I don’t really want to send this yet because I know I’ll think of so much more stuff to thank you for right after I hit send!

I would like to thank you for making Caroline and Ted’s wedding day such a success! You were so patient with us and so accommodating. Without you, we would not have been able to plan our special outdoor event. I was thinking about the wedding today and realized that it was nearly a year ago that Caroline announced her engagement. The wedding was wonderful! While it was my first wedding to plan, I believe it was far more complicated than most, and it simply could not have gone as smoothly or appeared as beautiful and relaxed without you. Your recommendations of Mike, Peter and Mark were great. People are still calling me and telling me how wonderful the food was. The time and effort Peter put in to planning and re-planning the tenting exceeded my expectations. I’m sure that all brides at some point can relate to the stress of planning a wedding. It’s a lot more difficult when you are planning a NH wedding from out of state. Luckily for us we found you.
Not only did you take the stress away by getting in touch with vendors that we chose beforehand and had a tough time reaching but you also recommended excellent vendors for things we had yet to think about. You gave us great, unique ideas and on top of everything else you made us feel like we were the only people you were working with (what bride doesn’t like that kind of personal attention?).
I would have to say the thing that most impressed us was from speaking with us through countless e-mails and phone calls you were able to pull the wedding and reception together without us ever seeing the finished product until the day of the wedding. While I’m sure this would be hard for some couples it was easy for us because of the trust we established with you. People that I talk to are still amazed at how we could relinquish control and not have any idea what our reception site, etc would look like after it was decorated. We were very happy with everything including the fact that you even met with the florist more than once to make sure that the flowers coordinated with the “mystery” design that you had in mind. You never lost sight of our vision.
During the wedding day you orchestrated things perfectly and made it easy. It was like taking guidance from a member of the family. That’s what you became to us— a member of our family. We would gladly do it all over again and still today we tell everyone that we just could not have done it without you!!!

We are back from the honeymoon! I wanted to make sure to get back to you on everything.
Linens- YOU WERE RIGHT!! That linen was perfect in the room. It is looking really great in the few pictures I have seen. We were thrilled with the linens!
Joe - Joe was great! I cannot wait to see the pictures. We were able to get a bunch of shots outside using the buildings as backgrounds. He was everywhere something was going on and was incredibly patient with the million requests people had for group shots at the reception.
Trolley - I did not end up personally riding the trolley. The weather cooperated and we just walked over to the church stopping to take pictures on the way. People definitely seemed appreciative of the ride back!! The trolley looked great! I wish we had gotten a picture on it. Oh well!
Babysitters - The babysitters were TERRIFIC! They were prompt, sweet and great with the kids. The kids were so happy in the Kid's Room, we could not get them down to the dance floor! A good problem to have!
Galina- The flowers were extraordinary. So many people have commented about how beautiful they were both at the rehearsal, wedding and reception. I really love flowers and am so glad they were everything I dreamed they would be.
Debbie did an awesome job. I did not have to think about anything. She was truly amazing! I had lots of people tell me how impressed they were with her. I cannot say enough about how she made our day truly amazing.
Everyone keeps saying how they have never been to a wedding that ran more smoothly and seemed so planned out. That has a lot to do with Signature Events. I really cannot think of a single thing that did not go to plan!

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you again for all your help and expertise leading up to and on the day of our wedding. Your attention to details and commitment to making things perfect really showed and our wedding day would not have been the same without all of your help. It certainly was a risky undertaking having a wedding where we were “the first” couple to get married there, but with all of your help and organization we were able to coordinate all of the necessary pieces and create our perfect day! After having grown up in the hospitality industry and then entering it myself (and starting my career at the Waldorf=Astoria in NYC no less!), I can say I have seen it all. And having been the one to provide service my entire career, I also expect fantastic service in return. Signature Events far exceeded every expectation I had in every category. Amy Piper is knowledgeable about every vendor, business, trend, and 'go-to' both in her area and the greater Northeast in the wedding industry. Amy takes the time and makes it her business to be involved with local events and tradeshows so she can always be current on the latest and greatest. Due to her interest in the industry, Amy is creative. Amy has a solution for everything and a fantastic idea when it seems they've all run out. She has someone in mind for every detail, a special touch for every table, and a twinkle in her eye as she listens to a bride at a consultation and begins to get a sense for what that bride really wants. Amy is fantastic at information-sharing and relationship building, but most importantly, strikes that delicate balance of reassuringly holding the hand of a bride while also sometimes delivering less than ideal news (and we all know that a bride is not the perfect candidate to often share that news with!). Amy is always professional, straightforward, and practically minded, keeping both budgetary restrictions as well as a couple's vision in mind when making suggestions. I will say, however, that Amy's strongest quality is her communication style - both the efficiency as well as speed. I do not think I ever waited for a response from Amy for more than 30 minutes in the 15 months between when we decided to work with her and my wedding day - a fact that is still incredible to me. Amy is quite literally all over it. She is passionate about her job, she very clearly loves what she does, and it shows in a huge way. To those of you evaluating Signature Events, I encourage you to reach out to anyone she has worked with to ask for feedback. I have not spoken to any other of her clients but I can tell you with 100% assurance that Amy would be endorsed, praised and lauded by any one of them. What can we say, Amy was the best! So much that when our friends get engaged we recommend her as the first part of the process. Actually, she helped with other family members weddings too. Amy is like your insurance policy but for a wedding as she covers all the details every step of the way. She thinks of the things you don't and wouldn't think of. Her communication and attention to detail is top notch leading up to the wedding and during the day. She takes on a role that allows her to blend into the wedding having people ask, “who is that?” , not knowing she is the one orchestrating the event behind the scenes. From beginning to very end, Amy went above and beyond to make our wedding amazing. It was a complex wedding...which involved boats and multiple venues...and Amy pulled it off without a hitch. Her gentle suggestions in the planning process were helpful without being pushy and her good relationships with many of our vendors were invaluable. Even the day of, Amy was even able to tell me "so-and-so doesn't have a seat" (my fault) without it sounding like a crisis...and she fixed it right away.
